COMMITTEE SERVICE
Philadelphia Temple open house committee
Carmen served as a member of the Philadelphia Temple open house committee for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
FAITH, COMMUNITY & FAMILY
Carmen’s upbringing in Puerto Rico, faith in Jesus Christ, and life as a mother shape the way she cares for others.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
Growing up in Puerto Rico, Carmen saw neighbors look after one another. If someone needed a meal, one family might bring rice and another beans. Together, people found a way to provide enough.
When a family was grieving, neighbors came to cook, clean, wash clothes, or offer comfort. Those memories shaped Carmen’s understanding of service: see what needs doing and help.
PERSONAL MISSION
My mission is to help people feel loved, supported, and never alone. Shaped by my upbringing in Puerto Rico, my faith in Jesus Christ, and motherhood, I try to notice needs and offer practical help without expecting recognition or anything in return. I want to help young people grow in kindness, faith, and the skills to build their future.
EVERYDAY ACTS OF CARE
In Philadelphia, Carmen brought groceries to single mothers. At other times, she has bought a meal for someone experiencing homelessness or dropped off homemade banana nut bread or cookies to let someone know she was thinking of them.
Some of her service is anonymous. What matters to her is the relief or joy someone feels when a need is met, without any expectation of gratitude, recognition, or repayment.
Her volunteer work has also included nonprofits and homeless shelters. She cares particularly about helping people find food, shelter, and a sense that they matter.
FAITH & CHURCH SERVICE
Carmen has volunteered in multiple capacities with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

CURRENT YOUTH MINISTRY
Carmen currently serves in youth ministry with teenagers, including work focused on teenage girls. She supports youth programs and helps coordinate activities.
Her message to young people is that they are loved by God, that they can ask for help, and that they are never alone. She wants to be someone they can turn to when they need support.
In her work with girls, Carmen emphasizes kindness, service, and becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. She hopes they develop a sense of worth that reaches beyond appearance, along with practical life skills that help them prepare for adulthood.

MOTHERHOOD & COMPASSION
Carmen is a wife and mother of two. Her oldest child has autism, and supporting his needs shapes how she spends much of her time. She says motherhood has deepened her compassion and made other people’s situations feel more personal.
When she sees someone who needs help, she thinks about the care she would want for her own children. That perspective makes her want to listen, understand, and offer practical support.
Time with her children and husband remains central to her life as she works alongside her husband at Reputation Repair.
WHAT GUIDES HER
Care about a person’s well-being, happiness, and future.
Help because someone needs it, without expecting recognition.
Bring what you can and help people know they have support.
